A turn-based platformer with deckbuilding elements

Enter the Titan is a free-to-play roguelike deckbuilder that hinges on the premise of a protagonist attempting to save the world from the wrath of the Titans. As the name suggests, players must navigate the inside of these monumental monsters in order to take them down.

As players delve deeper into the heart of Enter the Titan, they will have to make use of a variety of cards to move from place to place and attack any enemies that come their way. Just drag the card you want to use onto a cell to enable it.

Play your cards right

One of Enter the Titan’s greatest charms is its simple and intuitive mechanics, allowing even players new to the genre to quickly pick up on the rules. While it may seem simple, though, you’ll still have to carefully plan out each move you make in order to avoid running out of energy before your turn ends and to evade any attacks made by your enemies.

With over 70 cards to collect and up to 17 unique enemies to go up against, players can look forward to an engaging and comprehensive experience, even with the game’s prototype status. Each round is procedurally generated, ensuring that each playthrough offers a challenge that doesn’t grow repetitive too quickly. The game even allows you to implement “Darkness” when you start a new challenge, which lets you ramp up the difficulty.

An issue to take note of, though, is that the game is prone to freezing, especially when playing certain cards in your deck. Currently, the only workaround is to relaunch the game. Thankfully, this turn-based challenge automatically saves your progress so you can still continue where you left off once the game has been relaunched without having to worry about losing a significant amount of progress.

Plan your next move

For fans of titles like Wildfrost and LONESTAR, Enter the Titan is a worthy addition to the card-based roguelike genre. With its captivating gameplay mechanics and the promise of a unique challenge for every round you play, the game presents an exciting experience that grants hours’ worth of replayability. Though there are some technical challenges to remain wary of, they don’t detract from the overall experience.
